Activities & Events
:
a. We discussed shutter speeds using June’s laptop
1. We looked at pictures from our technical assignment to shoot the same
picture using shutter speeds from 1/8000 to 30 seconds (19 pictures)
with camera on a tripod; the pictures were of a ceiling fan operating at
its highest speed; the fi rst picture at 1/8000 showed the fan blades with
no motion blur, but the photo was too dark because the shutter was open
for too short of time to let in enough light; the last picture at 30 seconds
was completely white because the shutter was open for too long of time
2. We looked at pictures we posted in the Shutter Speed album. We were
to be intentional in choosing the shutter speed to get the intended photo
we wanted; June explained Matt’s & her pictures; Lisa explained hers &
Steve explained his pictures
b. Outing to Amir’s Garden in Griffi th Park cancelled due to coming rain; we will
have an outing in March to Getty Center
4. Meeting was adjourned at 8:50 pm
