The students will be shown how to make each shape each day that handwriting is assigned.
•
Students are to practice one shape each school day as assigned.
•
Students are to produce at least 10 correct examples of the shape.
•
Students turn in their work to be checked for profi ciency.
•
If the student’s work is profi cient, the work will receive a ‘Passed’ grade.
•
If the student’s work is not profi cient, the student will be instructed in how to make the shape correctly and will be asked to
practice some more and turn in the new work for review.
•
Students may work ahead of schedule if they wish.
•
During weeks 12-22 fourth grade students practice their manuscript handwriting by writing fi ve sentences of the Declaration
of Independence. Fifth grade students practice their manuscript handwriting by writing fi ve sentences of the U.S.
Constitution. This work will be submitted for review.
