Write a biography or autobiography.
•
The fi nished piece should be handwritten in D’Nealian cursive.
•
Group work is permitted if working on a biography.

The Cover and Title Page can be printed from a computer.
Format for Drafts:
•
Choose font such as
Arial, Calibri, Verdana
,
Cambria, Georgia,
or
Times New
Roman
.
•
Keep the same font for the whole document.
•
Font size should be from 10 to 12 points.
•
Headings and Titles can be from 14 to 16 points.
•
The font color should be black.
•
Single space between paragraphs.
•
Left justifi ed.
•
Page number in bottom right corner in the following format: Page # of #
•
Graphs, charts, photos, diagrams, etc. can be in color.
•
Put your paragraphs over a white background, not images.
•
For the cover, title page, and table of contents, chose photos that have large areas of
a solid color to put text over.
•
You may crop the photo to make a large area of a solid color to put text over.
•
If the image is such that it distracts from the text you can add a semi-transparent
white or black fi lter over the image to make text easier to read.
•
Make the text as large as possible and bold when going over images.
•
Don’t put text over busy images.
•
Use a spreadsheet or text boxes to organize text in relation to other text and images.
•
If you send your draft to me as an electronic document, convert it to a PDF fi rst.
Image Credits:
Put image credits next to the image or in a Image Credits page at the end of your
autobiography. Include the following information:
Image owner’s name, “Title”, Date of Creation, Link to Image
